Progress Update #46 - Week 48 - 7/18/2015

Week 48 Accomplishments 

• Grassing:
• Hole #18 - All areas are complete
• Hole #1 - Sod has been laid around of the lake bank along the tee complex and other specific areas
• Hole #9 - Sod has been laid around the bunkers and lake bank at the green complex

• Bunker Construction:
• Hole #9
• Green-side - 100% complete
• Hole #10
• Fairway and Green-side bunkers are shaped and drainage piping and gravel are being installed.
• Landscape Installation
• Oleanders and Fountain Grass have been installed under the 8 Shady Lady Olive trees to the left of #10 Tees.
• Bougainvilleas have been installed behind #10 tees around 3 Bismarck palms.
• 2 Live Oaks have been installed behind and to the left of #10 green 

Upcoming Week Goals:

• Grassing: 
• Due to the inclement weather on Thursday and Friday, grassing of the below areas have been rescheduled for Monday, July 20th
• Holes #1 - Sod and Sprig the Tee Complex 
• Hole #9 - Sod and Sprig Green surrounds and fairway area of the green side of the lake
• Hole #10 - Sod and Sprig Tee complex 
• Hole #10 & #11 tee complex - complete later in the week

• Bunker Construction:
• Complete Better Billy Bunker liner and sand installation on holes #10, #9 Fairway, and #1 Fairway.

Did you know:

Since Monday, July 13th, The Oaks Club has received approximately 4.25 inches of rain as of Friday, July 17th.

Progress Update #45 - Week 47 - 7/10/15

Week 47 Accomplishments 

• Grassing:
• Hole #18 - All sod work will be completed by Saturday, 7/11/15.
• Hole #1 - Sod has been laid on 75% of the lake bank along the tee complex

• Bunker Construction:
• Hole #18
• Fairway
• All bunkers have Better Billy Bunker liner installed
• remaining bunkers are in the process of having bunker sand installed
• Hole #9
• Green-side
• Drainage and Gravel installation is 85% complete
• Landscape Installation
• Native grasses installed along the upper portion to of the fairway bunkers on the left side.
• 8 Shady Lady Olive trees have been installed as a buffer from #10 tee and the driving range buffer
• Ferns are being installed under the large oaks behind #17 green

Upcoming Week Goals:

• Grassing: 
• Hole #18 - Sprig the remaining areas on Monday, 7/13
• Holes #1 - Sod and Sprig the Tee Complex 
• Hole #9 - Sod and Sprig Green surrounds and fairway area of the green side of the lake
• Hole #10 - Sod and Sprig Tee complex 

• Bunker Construction:
• Hole #18 - Complete the remaining bunkers
• Hole #10 - Start the shaping, drainage, and bunker liner installation
• Finish Shaping
• Hole #10 / #9 / #1 - Continue to box blade in preparation for grassing
• Landscape Installation will continue at the beginning of the week

Did you know:

The Shady Lady Olive Tree can reach 30 feet in height and are considered a "non-messy" tree.

Progress Update #44 - Week 46 - 7/3/2015

Week 46 Accomplishments 

• Grassing:
• Hole #15 is completely grassed
• Tee complex on #9 is 95% Complete & Hole #18 is 100% complete

• Bunker Construction:
• Hole #18
• Green-side  
• Better Billy Bunker Liner and Sand installed
• Fairway
• 2 bunkers have Better Billy Bunker installed
• remaining bunkers are in the process of being shaped, drainage installation, and / or Better Billy Bunker Liner being installed.

Upcoming Week Goals:

• Grassing: 
• Hole #18 - Complete the remaining areas  

• Bunker Construction:
• Hole #18 - Complete the remaining bunkers
• Hole #10 - Start the shaping, drainage, and bunker liner installation
• Finish Shaping
• Hole #10 / #9 / #1 - Continue the bulldozer work on these three holes

It takes a golf course sprinkler approximately 3 minutes to make a complete 360 degree rotation.

Week 45 Accomplishments 

• Grassing:
• All Greens, Collars, Approaches, and Chipping areas have been grassed
• Greens = TifEagle Bermuda
• Collars, Approaches, and Chipping Areas = TifGrand Bermuda

• Bunker Construction:
• Hole #15
• Green-side Bunker is complete
• Fairway Waste Bunker is 90% complete

• Cartpath Installation:
• All Cartpaths are complete

Upcoming Week Goals:

• Grassing: 
• Hole #15 - Monday & Tuesday
• Hole #18 Tee Complex - Wednesday or Thursday
• Hole #9 Tee Complex - Wednesday or Thursday

• Bunker Construction:
• Hole #18 - Complete the Better Billy Bunker Liner installation and install the G-Angle Bunker Sand

Did you know:

• The Project remains on Time and on Budget!

• All areas which are utilized for material storage and/or course entry points will be refurbished to a better condition than when they were originally used for prior to construction beginning. The contractor is obligated per the contract with Club to do so at the conclusion of the project.

Week 44 Accomplishments 

• Bunker Construction:
• Hole #15 
• Green-side Bunker -  ready for drainage installation and then Better Billy Bunker liner installation
• Waste Bunker along the fairway is 60% complete
• Hole #18 - Green-side bunkers are being shaped 

• Grassing:
• 12 holes are 95% grassed or fully complete.
• Remaining Order of holes:16, 15, 18, 10, 9, 1, 2 
• Holes #17
• All areas have been grassed 

• Cartpath Installation:
• Hole #1 & #2 - Complete

Upcoming Week Goals:

• Grassing: 
• Celebration Bermudagrass
• Complete hole #16
• TifGrand Bermudagrass
• Complete holes 15, 18, 10, 9, 1, and 2
• TifEagle (Greens)
• Complete holes 15, 18, 10, 9, 1, and 2
• Bunker Construction:
• Install drainage and Better Billy Bunker in the green-side bunker on #15
• Continue Bunker shaping around the #18 Green

Did you know:

The large concrete structure located on hole #2 was intended to be used as replacement for the weir structure in the lake on hole #7. Instead the structure that is there was modified and thus the structure on hole #2 is going to be returned.

• Regrading and checking the rootzone depth
• Holes 1, 2, 9, & 10 - Complete

• Bunker Construction:
• Hole #17 Fairway Bunkers - Drainage installation and Better Billy Bunker liner is either in the process if being complete or is complete.

• Grassing:
• Order of holes: 3 - 8, 11 - 18, 10, 9, 1, 2 
• Order of installation 
• Sodding around bunkers / lake banks / drains
• TifGrand Bermuda - Collars, Approaches, and Chipping areas
• Celebration Bermuda Sprigs - Fairways, Roughs, and Tees
• Greens - Phase #2 of 3 - #11, 12, 13, 14, 16, & 17 = complete
• Holes #14
• All areas have been grassed 

Upcoming Week Goals:

• Grassing: 
• Celebration Bermudagrass  
• Sprig and Sod Holes #16 & #17
• Bunker Construction:

Did you know:

The first and second phase of greens grassing are 81,056 square feet or 1.86 acres. The old Heron greens were slightly over 130,680 square feet or 3 acres.

• Grassing:

• Order of installation 
• Sodding around bunkers / lake banks / drains
• TifGrand Bermudagrass - Collars, Approaches, and Chipping areas
• Celebration Sprigs
• Holes #12
• All areas have been grassed with the exception of the green
• Holes #14, 16, & 17
• TifGrand Bermudagrass installed - Collars, Approach Areas, and Chipping Areas
